Move of the Week for the Week of December 14, 1998

Face your opponent As your opponent steps in and punches with the right hand, deflect the punch from the inside with your left and grab your opponent's right shoulder. Place your left foot on your opponent's right thigh.
Pull your weight onto your opponent's right thigh. Use your right hand on his head for support. Swing your right leg up and over your opponent's head.
As your right leg comes around, lock your legs together and hold onto your opponent's right arm with both hands. Throw your weight forward, pulling your opponent with you.
Execute a right shoulder roll while maintaining control of your opponent. When you land on the ground, you will have your opponent in an arm bar. Use it for submission. You may choke your opponent with your legs or strike as appropriate. Back roll away from your opponent when you're finished.

This is a very acrobatic technique that's great for demonstrations. While this is being done on a concrete floor, you should learn and practice on mats with a spotter. Have fun. It's a great way for a smaller person to take down someone big in demonstrations.
