Move of the Week for the Week of November 29, 1999

As your opponent steps in and punches with his right hand, step back with your right and grab your opponent's right arm, pulling him slightly forward and off balance. Twist your opponent's arm so his palm his up with your thumbs on the back of his wrist to control the wrist lock.  Step with your right leg forward and right.

Pivot counter-clockwise on your right foot, maintaining control with the wrist lock.  Drive your opponent down and to his right with the wrist lock.  Keep his wrist close to you to improve control. Step over your opponent as he rolls on the ground.  Finish with a wrist lock.

This particular technique is difficult to describe, but easy to demonstrate.  If you're unsure of the wrist lock, practice with your partner until you find the correct angles.  If you want to add comments regarding the details of this technique, feel free to send them in.
