Move of the Week for November 4, 1996

Face your opponent in a relaxed stance As he steps in with a right hooking punch, move in with your right leg, bringing your left arm up to deflect the blow
Continue stepping through until your right hip is on your opponent's right hip. Be sure to step outside his stance. Grab his right arm with your left arm as you step. Execute a hip throw. Be sure to use your hip to unbalance and elevate your opponent. Great strength is not required.

Decide how hard you're going to drop your opponent Brace your opponent's elbow against your leg to maintain control
Finish with a reverse punch or other appropriate technique

Remember: the overall flow of this technique is very fluid. You must act quickly enough to use your opponent's momentum to your advantage. If you break the technique down and pause after each step, you will end up having to 'muscle' the move, and may have it turned around on you.
