Move of the Week for the week of July 7, 1997
Face your opponent in a fighting stance with your left leg forward. As your opponent steps in to throw a right leg side kick, begin to pivot clockwise on your left leg.
Go down to your left knee as you continue rotating. Make sure you are out of range of the incoming kick (either below or outside). As you continue rotating, bring your extended right leg around for the sweep. Your calf should meet your partner's calf.
Follow through. If you try to do this technique half way, it won't be effective. Recover, and stay ready
Hit your opponent with a finishing technique. Back away and remain ready.

Timing is obviously critical for this move. Practice with your partner to get the timing. To use this, you need to be able to read your opponent very well, so you know when he'll be throwing a kick. Be sure your partner is able to slap out for a good fall like this. Have a good time. This is a fun one.
