Move of the Week for the week of June 30, 1997
Your opponent is sitting on your stomach swinging at your face. Deflect his punches. As your opponent punches with the left hand, deflect the punch to the outside of your body (to your right).
Shifting your hips for better leverage, place your right hand on top of your opponent's left hand on the ground. Reach your left arm over the top of his left arm, wrap clear around, and grab your own right wrist. Shift your hips back to the left, forcing your opponent onto his face. You may be able to keep the arm straight as an arm bar, but it will probably bend, allowing you to push the arm up behind the back for pain and / or breaking.

Work with your partner, so you don't scrape his face on the ground (unless that's what he wants). Shifting your hips right, then left, is very important to gain the proper leverage for this technique. As in many of these types of techniques, you must move quickly to get the hold and move your partner. If he fights you before you have him locked in, the technique may not work.
