Move of the Week for the Week of March 22, 1999

You attempt to tackle or grab your opponent. He gets you in a guillotine choke with his right arm. Tuck your chin to protect your airways and make the choke more difficult for your opponent.
Drop to your right knee. Wrap your right arm around his back and your left arm inside and under his right thigh. Lift your opponent off the ground, rotate, and...
Return him to the ground (hard or soft depending upon the circumstances). Your opponent has maintained his choke the entire time. Use your left hand to brace his body while you rotate counter clockwise around his head.
When you reach the far side of his head, pull your head out of the choke. The choke ceased to be effective as you rotated around him. Pull away and stay ready.

You must be able to lift your opponent reasonably well for this to work. Don't go lifting your 300 pound partner off the ground. There are other options.
