Move of the Week for the week of March 3, 1997

Face your opponent As your opponent steps in and punches with the left hand, deflect the strike with a right outside crescent kick.
Follow with a left round kick to the mid-section or groin Plant your left foot and rotate clockwise with a heel kick to the head.
Grab your opponent's right shoulder and sweep his left foot forward with your right foot for the take down. Finish with a reverse technique

This technique was designed for a testing situation. You probably won't attempt to block a punch with a crescent kick unless your hands are unavailable. When practicing, you can target your opponent's mid-section with the heel kick. It's important that you not throw a technique beyond your ability to control. It's easy to hurt someone with a heel kick, so use caution. As always, have fun.
