Move of the Week for the week of February 10, 1997

Face your opponent As your opponent steps in and punches, execute a jumping front thrust kick
Land and throw a right leg side kick to your opponent's mid-section Land a right hand back knuckle on your opponent's temple
Drop your right elbow onto your opponent's right thigh (or just above the knee) Pull your opponent's right foot towards you as you press forward and down on the thigh for a takedown
Finish by dropping a back knuckle to the groin Remain ready as you back away from your opponent

This particular technique is more appropriate for a formal testing or demonstration situation than for an actual confrontation. If attacked, you wouldn't want to start with a jump kick. Other pieces of the technique can, however, be adapted to the street. As always, exercise control and caution when practicing.
