Move of the Week for the Week of February 9, 1998

Face your opponent in a ready position. Step back with your right leg and execute a high cross block as your opponent steps in and punches with his right hand.
Swing your opponent's arm clockwise and bring his hand in close to your body with a wrist lock (not shown). Step forward, delivering a right knee to the head.
Land with your right elbow to the nerve center just outside your opponent's shoulder blade (or to the spine if it's a deadly encounter). Grab your opponent's left shoulder with your left hand and the back of his right elbow with your right hand.
Pivot left, pulling the shoulder and pushing with the right arm bar for the take down. Finish with a reverse punch.

Use caution when practicing this technique because you're delivering blows to sensitive areas. As you continue to practice, make sure your partner can't escape from your wrist lock or arm bar. Have fun.
