Move of the Week for the Week of February 1, 1999

Stand ready, facing your opponent. As your opponent steps in and punches with the left hand, step left and block with your right hand.
Strike to the face with a left hand palm heel. Left leg snap kick to the groin.
Recoil the kick and hop towards your opponent, on the outside. Push forward on your opponent's left shoulder as you kick your left leg back, sweeping his left leg forward for the takedown.
Kick to the ribs with your right leg. Recoil and lift your right leg high for an axe kick to finish.

Remember to hit calf to calf and sweep your partner's leg straight forward to avoid knee injuries on the takedown. This is a great, practical street technique.
