Move of the Week for the week of January 27, 1997

Face your opponent As your opponent steps in and punches, execute a jump spinning back kick to their mid-section (rotating clockwise)
Land with your right leg forward and throw a right hand back-knuckle to your opponent's face. Grab your opponent's shoulders and drive your left knee into his mid-section (or lower if you're feeling particularly aggressive).
With your opponent doubled over, raise your right elbow high and drive it into his spine. Reach your right hand to the left side of his face, brace the right side of his chin with your left hand, and twist his head clockwise for the take down. (Be very careful not to break anything)
Continue with the takedown Finish your opponent with a stomp or other appropriate technique.

This is obviously a technique for a formal testing or demonstration setting. You would probably never want to start with a jump spinning back kick. There are individual moves, however, that would be effective in street situations. Be very careful in practicing this technique, as there are several opportunities to seriously injure your training partner (especially the elbow and the take down).
