Move of the Week for the week of January 17, 2000

Face your opponent. As he steps in and punches with his right hand, drop back with your right into a fighting stance, out of range of his punch.  Deflect his punch with your right hand if you wish.
Knock his arm away with a right leg inside crescent kick. Step down and continue spinning counter clockwise, following with a left leg heel kick to the head.
Step down with the left, punch with your right hand to the face, and throw a right leg round kick to the face or midsection. Recoil the kick and step down with your right leg behind your opponent.  You may need to lunge in to do this.
You should be hip to hip with your opponent.  Thrust your hip back as you draw your right arm forward across his chest for the takedown. Finish.

This was not designed as a street technique, but it's good for demonstrations if you have nice kicks (like Dave Douglas).
